Receptionist
Our client, a boutique investment firm in Midtown is looking for a receptionist to handle front desk operations of the firm and accompanying tenants. Tasks include all standard reception duties. With a full-service in-house restaurant including a full-time chef / service team, the candidate will be the point of contact between the chef and the office, ensuring all breakfast/lunch meetings are communicated, office attendance, and other ad-hoc needs.

HOURS: 8:30 am – 5:30 pm
OFFICE REQUIREMENTS: This role is in the office 5 days a week
COMPENSATION: $70-80k base
BACHELOR'S DEGREE REQUIRED: Required
Responsibilities of the Receptionist:
-Answer and place calls, as appropriate, and take messages
-Meet and greet guests – seat and offer drinks
-Manage conference rooms – coordinate all meeting requests as well as overall tidiness
-Log all guests into the building security system
-Light calendar support for the COO
-Coordinate travel for team members as needed
-Order office supplies and communicate with the Office Assistants to always ensure adequate stock levels
-Manage stationary levels – request reprints when needed
-Receive and log all deliveries from FedEx, UPS, and messenger services
-Prepare all outgoing FedEx and messenger service packages
-Responsible for communicating all food/messenger deliveries
-Pick up breakfast/lunch/messenger deliveries and any other delivery from lobby
-Ensure all copiers and faxes are properly stocked
-Miscellaneous office support duties (e.g., create labels, make files, file documents, etc.)
-Handle ad hoc requests from the Chef and Office Manager as needed
Requirements of the Receptionist:
-Bachelor’s Degree Required
-Minimum 1-2 years' experience in a professional environment
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-Organizational and multi-tasking skills are a must
-Pleasant and friendly personality while professional and polished
-Demonstration of initiative, self-motivation, and good judgment in resolving issues
-Ability to multi-task and handle pressure with grace
-Must be extremely detail oriented
-Proficient with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and Outlook
-Verification of identity, education, prior employment, and references may be required
