Our client is a leading global venture capital firm and is hiring an investor to join their tight-knit growth team.  As a key member of the investment team, you will actively participate in all stages of the investment process and have a seat at the table in making investment decisions. The firm has a flat culture, values apprenticeship, and considers every investor to be in a career-track role. Our client has decades of experience investing in leading global startups. The Growth Team manages over $10B and operates as a lean team. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

This role will involve:

• Due diligence: Conduct due diligence including business analysis, industry analysis, competitive landscape, financial modeling, and making investment recommendations on companies in the US and international markets.
• Thesis Development and Sourcing: Develop investment theses on high impact markets and generate investment opportunities in said markets.
• Supporting World Class Founders: Work with portfolio company management teams to add leverage around key operational initiatives.
• Community building: Represent firm and build relationships with founders, executives, and other investors at external and internal events.

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

• 1-6 years of operating or finance experience, ideally inside of a TMT group within an Investment Bank, a management consulting firm and/or a Private Equity or VC/Growth fund. Client will also consider candidates with experience at a high-growth technology company.
• Familiarity with startup finance methodologies (e.g. cohort analysis, unit economics, growth funnels)
• Track record of promotion and success within previous roles
