Analyst

Single Manager L/S Equity Hedge Fund (based in NYC) seeking mid-level Analysts across sectors (Technology, Consumer, Industrials & Financials). This top tier fund has been around for multiple years and has had considerable growth & success, but still operates as a lean team. 

Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

• The analyst will be involved in all areas of the investment process, and as part of a small team
• Support financial research and analysis of potential and existing portfolio companies, including building of financial models, comparable company analyses, discounted cash flow valuations, and others. Incorporate alternative research modalities including alternative data and 3rd-party channel checks as appropriate
• Interface with company management teams, including investor relations and C-level executives
• Network with sell side research contacts as well as other investment management professionals

Qualifications:

• 5+ years experience in financial services with ideally 3+ being public investing (l/s equity) with track record of managing own coverage/names previously 
  
  • Background in investment banking and/or private markets a plus
• Bachelor’s degree from a top-tier academic institution, with strong performance
• Demonstrable passion and drive for investing in general, and equity investing in particular
