Angelo Basurto

Angelo is a Managing Director in the Energy Practice at Glocap. He is a recruitment and business development professional with more than 14 years of experience across the financial services, energy, infrastructure, and technology sectors. Throughout his career, he has partnered with investors, developers, operators, and technology companies, building a global network that spans North America, Europe, and Asia Pacific. 

Prior to joining Glocap, Angelo held leadership positions within executive search, talent advisory, and business development organizations focused on energy, infrastructure, and technology markets. He has advised clients ranging from high-growth startups to multinational corporations on talent strategy, market expansion, and organizational growth initiatives. 

Angelo brings deep expertise across oil and gas, power generation, utilities, renewable energy, sustainability, climate technology, and the broader energy transition. He has worked closely with independent power producers, energy technology companies, infrastructure investors, financial institutions, and corporate stakeholders, helping organizations navigate growth, transformation, and evolving market demands. 

In addition to executive search, Angelo has extensive experience commercializing SaaS platforms, market intelligence solutions, and data and analytics products. His background provides a unique understanding of how talent, technology, and capital intersect to drive business performance and long-term value creation.

Angelo holds a Master's degree from IE Business School and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Economics from Loyola Marymount University. He is also a former Coro Fellow in Public Affairs, a nationally recognized leadership development program whose alumni include leaders across business, government, and nonprofit organizations.
