Our client, a boutique Asset Management firm, is looking to hire a Research Assistant to support the fund’s Investment Team. This is a great opportunity for a candidate interested in learning more about the finance industry.

LOCATION: Midtown
HOURS: 9:00am-5:00pm plus Light OT when needed
COMPENSATION: $70k-75k DOE Plus Bonus Eligible + Great Benefits

Fully Onsite – 5 days in the office
Responsibilities
- Maintaining/organizing meetings calendar for investment team
- Schedule client calls and meetings (often in different time zones)
- Provide back-up phone coverage and team's calendar coverage
- Book and organize travel for the department
- Coordinate conference events
- Assist investment team with research projects related new investment ideas
- Support analysts with ongoing investment portfolio maintenance
- Opportunities for growth including financial statement analysis, financial modeling and memo writing
- Assemble materials needed by the Investor Relations team for client meetings and conferences
- Liaise with legal and finance teams on investor relations requests, documents and deliverables
- Other miscellaneous duties, as required
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree, self starter, highly-motivated team player
- Preferred a minimum of 0-3 years administrative assistant experience in a professional office
- Ability to take initiative and a sense of ownership and urgency in all tasks
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to handle multiple projects at the same time
- Ability to interface both internally and externally into professional manner
- Ability to clearly and effectively communicate to internal personnel and outside clients verbally and in writing
- Strong writing skills including knowledge of grammar and sentence structure
- Experience with Microsoft Office, including Outlook and Word required; Excel and PowerPoint a plus
- Ability to learn and master CRM application; familiarity with Backstop a plus
