Our client is an Investment Management firm based in New York. They are seeking an Operations Analyst to be responsible for managing the accounting and finance functions relating to the Firms’ portfolio companies, corporate level operations and general compliance environment of a Registered Investment Advisor.

  • Coordinates, prepares and analyzes performance measures and reporting to senior management and others.
  • Assists in managing the accounting, tax, and compliance services provided by third parties.
  • Participates in reviewing and analyzing portfolio related operating data into financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
  • Supports portfolio and corporate transactions by providing finance and accounting advice and perspectives to deal teams.
  • Assists in preparation of pro-forma analysis on anticipated transactions ensuring it fits within prescribed constraints.
  • Maintain sound control reporting environment and establish best business practices for operations business unit.
  • Update various compliance logs as directed by CCO and in accordance with the compliance manual.
  • Advise various levels of personnel on compliance issues related to products, services, regulations and laws to ensure the company is in compliance.
  • Identify non-compliant practices and work with third party advisors and business units to devise technological and administrative solutions to ensure compliance in ways that minimally burden business units.
  • Conduct reviews originating as a result of alleged violations of Corporate and Departmental policies (including breaches, mishandling of information, and other related improprieties) and reports findings leadership.
  • Assist in training employees with compliance related education to ensure employee understanding of regulatory environment.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree from reputable college or university in Business Administration, Management, Finance, or related field
  • CPA license encouraged
  • 2– 4 years in accounting, finance, or compliance role
