About the Role
A leading New York real estate boutique is seeking a Head of Data & Research to establish and lead a proprietary research, analytics, and intelligence function that positions the firm as the most knowledgeable team in the market. This role ensures the agency remains a trusted source of data for ultra-high-net-worth clients, developers, and industry leaders.

This senior, high-profile position blends market research, predictive analytics, AI-driven insights, and client-facing thought leadership. The Head of Data & Research will have a direct impact on pricing strategy, client engagement, content development, and long-term product direction.

What You'll Do

• Generate proprietary research for active and prospective clients in NYC real estate
• Track off-market transactions, neighborhood trends, construction costs, and market dynamics
• Build predictive models to guide pricing, valuation, and market timing
• Monitor wealth events and provide actionable insights to the team
• Lead pricing and comparative analyses for listings with rapid turnaround
• Develop scalable frameworks for pricing and reductions
• Support listing presentations with data, attend seller meetings, and deliver market insights
• Keep agents equipped with timely and relevant market information
• Create recurring reports at neighborhood, building, and segment levels
• Collaborate with marketing to ensure polished data visualization and presentation
• Deliver recurring data on land values, sales, pipelines, and construction costs to developers, lenders, and partners
• Assist development clients with pricing strategies, unit mix evaluation, sales velocity tracking, and competitive analysis
• Elevate internal data insights into a leading industry newsletter
• Contribute to reports, newsletters, and media to position the agency as a go-to real estate data source
• Identify opportunities for insightful, data-driven content
• Enhance how data is presented across reports, presentations, and digital platforms
• Support the development and evolution of proprietary tools and apps

Required Experience

• 8+ years in data analytics, research, real estate, finance, or a related field
• In-depth knowledge of NYC real estate markets
• Working knowledge in analytics, modeling, and AI-driven tools such as Python, R, SQL, Excel, Tableau, Power BI, Looker, Salesforce
• Knowledge of CoStar, Real Capital Analytics, and other real estate market data platforms advantageous
• Proven ability to translate complex datasets into clear, actionable insights
• Comfortable with client-facing presentations and stakeholder communication
• Strategic and entrepreneurial mindset with excellent execution skills
