LOCATION: New York, NY
HOURS: 9:00am-5:30pm with flexibility to come in early or stay later as needed (Hybrid in-office 3 days WFH 2 days) – Frequent travel is required
COMPENSATION: Up to $180K DOE + Bonus Eligible

Responsibilities of the AVP/VP of Events:
-Lead end to end, white glove event strategy and execution across client meetings, conferences, offsites, trainings, and sponsorships.
-Oversee all event logistics, including design, registration, communications, travel, hospitality, food & beverage, production, and content delivery.
-Partner closely with C suite leaders to design high impact programs that advance strategic business objectives and elevate executive engagement.
-Manage event budgets, negotiate contracts, and ensure alignment with internal policies and financial requirements.
-Deliver consistently high touch service that strengthens relationships with clients, employees, and senior leadership.
-Enhance brand presence through distinctive, innovative event experiences.
-Stay current on industry trends and integrate new ideas, technologies, and best practices into event planning and execution.
Requirements of the AVP/VP of Events:
-Bachelor’s degree required.
-A minimum of 7-10 years of event management experience, ideally within financial services.
-Demonstrated success leading high touch, complex events for senior executives and global audiences.
-Experience collaborating directly with C suite stakeholders and supporting executive level communications and expectations.
-Strong strategic planning, problem solving, and decision making abilities.
-Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
-Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, executives, and vendors.
-High level of professionalism, discretion, and client service orientation.
Proficiency in event management platforms (e.g., Cvent) and Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
-Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
-Ability to manage multiple events simultaneously in a fast paced environment.
-Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow through.
-Entrepreneurial mindset with creativity and adaptability.
-Willingness to travel.
