Our client is seeking to hire a FP&A Analyst to join their corporate finance team in downtown San Francisco. This role will report directly to the SVP of Finance and work closely with the FP&A Associate. In addition, this position will engage with the entire finance function within the investment firm and various teams across the investment firm.

Key responsibilities include the creation of Corporate and Business Unit financial reports (which are shared with the firm’s partners and senior managers), forecasting and financial planning, analyzing financial data to provide insights and assisting with or managing one-off projects.

Our client is seeking to hire a FP&A Analyst to join their corporate finance team in downtown San Francisco. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES (including but not limited to):

- Produce key financial reports on a monthly- and quarterly-basis, in collaboration with FP&A Associate:

- Monthly performance snapshot that highlights key firm metrics
- Quarterly financial packet for partners that provides a more detailed look into revenue, expenses, profitability, headcount, etc. at the firm and department level
- Quarterly department-specific reports to provide insight into the performance of key business drivers specific to each department
- Quarterly Management Committee financial update
- Help team update the firm’s forecast on at least a quarterly basis
- Key focus initially will be on non-compensation expenses for specific groups within our client.
- Requires understanding the key vendors and/or cost drivers for each group, combined with understanding actual expenses to date, in order to develop an accurate forecast
- Help produce annual budget for our client, which will involve:
- Coordinating and working closely with teams across the firm to obtain input and insights
- Preparing, consolidating and checking budget inputs
- Creating presentation for partners and senior management that introduces the budget and explains key drivers
- Regularly perform analyses and/or create exhibits in response to one-off partner and senior management queries
- Manage or help manage one-off projects aimed at improving the team’s or firm’s infrastructure and processes
- Liaise with several other teams (e.g. Merchant Bank Finance, Human Resource, Operations, IT) to obtain up to date information for reports and ensure alignment on information
