ROLE: We are looking for a short term temporary Analyst/Associate to start as soon as possible in New York for a contract position. The desired candidate should be fully skilled in modeling and financial analysis as well as experienced in doing research on new markets. Energy technology has established itself as a leading area for venture capital and corporate investment with an enormous opportunity to create largescale impact on the global economy, the energy markets and the environment. As a result, the individual being considered should share the passion of the firm's principals for the sector.
The candidate should be an organized self-starter who can help immediately with the organization of the firm's internal processing of information, build databases, do industry research and build financial models, yet should also be comfortable with the responsibility of working directly with partners on transactions and on portfolio matters with company management.

The investment team meets with thousands of companies each year selecting a handful to invest in, supporting them with market insights and exposure to potential acquisitions and acquirers.
Our client is looking for an Associate to work closely with one of the firm’s Principals on all capital markets and business development activities
Assist the Principal in managing the firm’s relationships with relevant investment banks and debt providers
Work with the Principal, other professionals across the firm, and senior executives at portfolio companies on execution of debt financings, management of inbound deal flow, engagements with investment banks, and general business development initiatives
Provide leverage to the Principal and investment teams on financings for new investments, acquisitions, dividend recapitalizations, and general refinancings
Lead production of presentations, models, datarooms, diligence responses, etc. and assist with initial lender outreach
Provide consistency of process and materials across companies and deal teams
Analyze terms on individual deals and across the portfolio more broadly
Track portfolio company performance to identify upcoming financing opportunities and potential issues with existing financings
Monitor, track, and analyze internal and external lender activity
Support business development initiatives
Help monitor, track, and analyze internal and external investment bank activity
Prepare weekly pipeline of firmwide deal flow
Follow up on various ideas and leads
Work with the Principal on a variety of special projects to improve the capabilities and efficiency of the Capital Markets function
Our client is a leading credit-oriented investment fund focused on direct lending out of a newly raised ~$400mm fund. They invest unitranche, second lien, mezzanine, preferred equity and equity co-investments in lower middle market businesses in a variety of industries across the economy for Private Equity Sponsored, Independent Sponsored, and Non-Sponsored businesses. Investments range between $10 million and $50 million each.
The firm is looking to hire a pre-MBA associate for their office in New York.
The Associate will be expected to hit the ground running from day one in analyzing, structuring and supporting all stages of the underwriting, deal execution and portfolio management processes. As such, the Associate must have a record of high-achievement, superior maturity, integrity and the highest level of professionalism.
The successful candidate will have 1-2 years of experience from investment banking (preferably from a Leveraged Finance group), cash flow lending group of a commercial bank, or from another private credit fund with a relevant focus.
Top quantitative and modeling skills are essential.
