Our client advises a $1 billion+ fund specialized in growth equity and buyout investments in high-growth enterprise software, consumer internet, and technology-enabled services companies worldwide. The team leverages the larger funds’ deep tech investing expertise, global platform, and specialized operating experts to enable technology companies and their management teams to accelerate the achievement of their full potential.
Our client is looking for an associate to identify attractive industry sectors and specific companies for investment and execute both growth equity and buyout transactions.
This is a unique opportunity to be part of a young fund within an established firm. Given the entrepreneurial nature of the platform, the team is looking for self-starters who will take initiative and be proactive about finding interesting companies and themes as well as taking ownership of transactions once they become live. Associates are given responsibility to lead workstreams with limited supervision.
Associates spend their time mapping out industries, speaking with senior executives at leading tech companies, attending conferences, and maintaining a dialogue with folks within the tech ecosystem. In addition, associates execute transactions by leading due diligence workstreams, performing quantitative analysis, and working closely with their specific deal team (generally two to four professionals).

The successful candidate also will have a proven track record of leadership, an interest in following trends in technology and business, and a strong desire for an outbound role to build relationships and create investment opportunities with entrepreneurs.

The firm leverages this network of LPs to help its portfolio companies succeed.
Our client is looking to hire full-time Associates in their New York City office for a 2020 start. Companies that elevate through the firm’s pipeline will require further due diligence. In addition to customer calls and market research, Associates will be involved with building valuation and return models, drafting of term sheets and investment memos, and ultimately overall deal execution, alongside one of the Vice Presidents or Principals at the firm.
Post-close, Associates will have the opportunity to work closely with their portfolio companies. In the past Associates have taken board seats, led management hiring, developed pricing strategies, and built KPI dashboards, among other key initiatives.
