Our client is a global private equity fund with north of $9 billion in assets under management and is focused on control buyouts of businesses across a range of sectors with $10-$35m in EBITDA. They are currently deploying equity from their seventh vintage.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Senior Associates within the team play an end-to-end transaction execution and portfolio company management role. Senior Associates will:

  • Have extensive involvement with analyzing new investment opportunities in any one of the following sectors: Specialty Manufacturing & Distribution, Education & Training, Healthcare Services/IT, Tech Business Services/Software OR Consumer Goods
  • Provide quality input and feedback on new deal opportunities; participate in investment committee meetings
  • Perform miscellaneous research & due diligence as requested
  • Execute acquisitions across North America with a team of investment professionals
  • Support due diligence processes on transactions, including managing external providers
  • Draft significant portions of investment committee communications (memos)
  • Support the selection of lenders and the financing process
  • Assist in the development and execution of portfolio company investment and ultimately the exit strategies

CLIENT:

A New York based Private Equity firm focused on investment opportunities in the lower middle market is looking to add a Vice President to its investment team. The firm primarily makes lead and control investments and select growth investments in software enabled business services, media/information services, telecom, and education. The firm is investing out of its third fund and has managed over $900 million in private equity commitments since its founding. The fund targets companies with enterprise values between $25 million and $150 million.

ROLE

The firm is seeking to hire a Vice President with 5-10 years of related work experience. This person will be responsible for sourcing and executing new investments as well as working with executive management teams of portfolio companies. He/she should effectively communicate and develop an investment theses along with its related risks and mitigating factors.

This Vice President will be expected to work collaboratively with management teams at portfolio companies leading debt financing relationships, building value through operational efficiency, organic growth and add-on acquisitions. This individual will also play a lead role in all parts of the transaction process, including: sourcing, modeling, completing industry research, writing investment memos, securing financing, and supporting post-close operational and strategic initiatives.

Deal teams at the firm typically consist of three investment professionals, requiring Vice Presidents to be extremely proactive in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate must have buy side and sell side investment transaction experience and possess the ability to evaluate, analyze, and synthesize investment opportunities.

This candidate must thrive in an entrepreneurial private equity culture and have the potential to grow into a larger role at the firm, including leading deals with increasing or complete independence.
