RESPONSIBILITIES

Senior Associates within the team play an end-to-end transaction execution and portfolio company management role. Senior Associates will:

  • Have extensive involvement with analyzing new investment opportunities in any one of the following sectors: Specialty Manufacturing & Distribution, Education & Training, Healthcare Services/IT, Tech Business Services/Software OR Consumer Goods
  • Provide quality input and feedback on new deal opportunities; participate in investment committee meetings
  • Perform miscellaneous research & due diligence as requested
  • Execute acquisitions across North America with a team of investment professionals
  • Support due diligence processes on transactions, including managing external providers
  • Draft significant portions of investment committee communications (memos)
  • Support the selection of lenders and the financing process
  • Assist in the development and execution of portfolio company investment and ultimately the exit strategies
  • Monitor portfolio company investments and report on a quarterly basis for investor reporting
  • Keep company records up to date
  • Support the CFO and CEO, especially in the context of refinancing, restructuring, or add-on acquisitions

ROLE

The firm is seeking to hire a Vice President with 5-10 years of related work experience. This person will be responsible for sourcing and executing new investments as well as working with executive management teams of portfolio companies. He/she should effectively communicate and develop an investment theses along with its related risks and mitigating factors.

This Vice President will be expected to work collaboratively with management teams at portfolio companies leading debt financing relationships, building value through operational efficiency, organic growth and add-on acquisitions. This individual will also play a lead role in all parts of the transaction process, including: sourcing, modeling, completing industry research, writing investment memos, securing financing, and supporting post-close operational and strategic initiatives.

Deal teams at the firm typically consist of three investment professionals, requiring Vice Presidents to be extremely proactive in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate must have buy side and sell side investment transaction experience and possess the ability to evaluate, analyze, and synthesize investment opportunities.
